Annika joined the Corporate + Commercial team in late 2020. She is committed to providing practical advice that considers an organisation’s overall intention alongside the legal context. Annika believes this is particularly important in the commercial setting, where clients must be empowered to make informed decisions about legal issues that impact their business and its broader objectives.

Annika focuses on drafting and negotiating commercial contracts in a range of sectors including energy, infrastructure, and technology and advising businesses on issues that arise throughout their lifecycle. Annika has a particular interest and experience in project management and infrastructure work, having worked on a number of Law Squared’s client projects including a large contract remediation and compliance project for an insurer.

She works with a number of our Law Squared as a Service (LSaaS) clients as their dedicated Relationship Manager and has a clear understanding of the commercial and practical approach required of an in-house lawyer.

Coming from a background in hospitality, Annika is passionate about maintaining strong client relationships and prides herself on her ability to convert complex legal matters into easily understandable and approachable advice. This is particularly important when assisting in-house teams and their internal stakeholders to navigate and balance diverging business priorities.

Before joining Law Squared, Annika gained experience in a variety of practice areas from civil litigation to building and construction, wills and estates, debt recovery and general commercial advice and drafting. Whilst completing her Juris Doctor, Annika worked as a paralegal for two accredited specialists in criminal law. This diverse experience allows Annika to quickly adapt to the different needs and priorities of her clients to deliver tailored commercial solutions and outcomes.
