During her career, Melanie has worked for the major 4 Australian Banks, as well as a panel lawyer for Government agencies and insurers. Known for a sharp technical mind and a results-driven approach, Melanie provides strategic counsel to creditors, debtors, liquidators and corporate entities navigating complex financial landscapes.
Throughout her career, Melanie has mastered the intricacies of both corporate and personal insolvency, frequently both guiding and advising in voluntary administration, liquidation and bankruptcy scenarios. Melanie is also a specialist in high-stakes debt collection and secured debt recovery, utilising robust enforcement strategies—including statutory demand and asset recovery—to secure optimal outcomes for clients.
Beyond financial distress matters, Melanie maintains a diverse general litigation practice. Whether handling contractual disputes, property co-ownership disputes or neighbour disputes, Melanie is recognised for commercial pragmatism.
